Some of us have warm memories of church. Some of us don't. Many of us went to church when we were young, but for any number of reasons our commitment vanished as we grew up. We left church behind when we went away to school, moved away from home or got married.

We don't see ourselves as being against church; it's just that church doesn't play a part in our lives. We still want to follow God...but is there any way to follow God without being stuck with a boring, routine, irrelevant church service? Is there any way to follow God without being pressured to give money? Most of us want a church that's practical, where the pastor and people understand the pressures of life:

  • the difficulty of raising kids today
  • the pressures on our marriages
  • the heartaches of divorce and singleness
  • the frustration of the workplace

    • We also want a church with some GOOD NEWS TO SHARE! A church that helps us celebrate the good in life. A church that gives us the freedom to be ourselves and the encouragement to live up to our potential.

    Elmwood Park Bible Church is a group of people who share these same views about church and Christianity. We want our Christianity to be joyful, practical and simple. NO manipulation.
